Review: Liara T'Soni Bishoujo Statue

At the behest of Mr CounterFett, I'm doing a quick write up of my Bishoujo Liara statue.

Her coat is seamlessly done and neither too rubbery nor hard enough you need worry about it snapping.

The detailing and paint apps are very well done with no noticable bleeding and lots of detailing - though she is missing her freckles!

The M-5 Phalanx is a weapon of uncanny power and precision.

Only other negative is that the light grey is a shade too dark to be completely accurate, giving the figure an overall darker look than she should have. Compare the greys in this pic:

It's hypnotic...

to those in this one:

Yak Face for scale - the Star Wars one, not the guy from Dakka.
Yes, it's an original vintage I've owned since the early 80's, my first action figure I believe.

Not a deal breaker, but a bit on the irksome side if you want total accuracy - which I would have liked - and it's not something easy to fix so I'll just have to learn to live with it.

That said I'm hoping they release a Liara figure for the Play Arts Kai line shortly, as I've got pre-orders for FemShep, Garrus and Tali in (go team dextro!) and Liara and Kaidan would complete the ME1 crew (then I'd just need James, Javik and EDI for the whole ME3 team [c'mon Grunt!]).

I'm waiting until I see a sculpt of the FemShep Bishoujo before I consider ordering, especially after the fiasco with Liara's statue. But they fixed the horrible nature of the proto so hopefully there won't be a repeat of that.
